Dale T. Oliver, 89, passed away Monday, October 8th, in Wichita. He was born June 17, 1923 in Sarcoxie, Missouri, the son of Harvey M. and Lily F. (Jacobs) Oliver.
Growing up in Herington, he attended local schools and graduated from Herington High School in 1941. He worked as a service station attendant, laundry and dry cleaning route man, auto parts salesman, railroad laborer, aircraft manufacturing inspector, private in U.S. Army Air Corp, automobile mechanic, manufacturing company laborer and supervisor, and photographer. He retired from Ehrsam/Combustion Engineering in 1982. He lived in Woodbine before moving to Abilene in 1960.
In 1960, he married Virginia Sellin, who preceded him in death in 2000. In August of 2002, he married Florence LaVerne Meineke.
He was a member of the Abilene First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge #98 AF&AM, Scottish Rite and Isis Shrine.

Dale chose to be cremated. Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 15th, at the Abilene Cemetery with Pastor Robert H. Frasier officiating.
