Kathleen J. Strauss, 91, passed away Monday, October 8th, in Enterprise. She was born January 16, 1921 near Chapman, the daughter of Earl and Sara (Long) Lowe.
Growing up on a farm near Chapman, she attended local schools and graduated from Chapman High School. She had taught in a one room school houses, the Pleasant Hill School and Moonlight School, and had driven a school bus for the Chapman School District.
On February 5, 1942, she was married to Felix A. Strauss Jr. Most all of their married life was spent farming south of Abilene. She was a member of the Abilene First United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 12th, at the Abilene First United Methodist Church with Rev. Shane Britt officiating.
Interment will follow in the Farmington Cemetery south of Abilene.
The family will receive friends 5:30 to 6:30 Thursday at the Danner Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be made to the Abilene First United Methodist Church.
