Marilyn A. Briggs, age 76, died Tues., Oct. 9, 2012 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia. She was born on Sept. 1, 1936 in Concordia, KS to Isaac & Josephine (Winsett) Briggs. She graduated from Concordia High School. A lifetime Concordia area resident. She worked in the kitchen at Beverly Healthcare until it closed and then Mt. Joseph Senior Community. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose, American Legion & VFW Auxiliaries all of Concordia. Marilyn enjoyed playing bingo with friends & family.
She is survived by:
Sisters: Margene Cash & husband Gary, Clyde
Madeline Grosse & husband Ben, Concordia
Special family: Sherry Campbell & husband Larry, Concordia
Several nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews
Special cousins
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Max & M.L Ike Briggs & and infant brother, Rex Dean.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM, Mon., Oct. 15, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Rev. Dean R. Frazier officiating.
Burial will follow the services at Hall Cemetery, Ottawa County.
Visitation will be from 12-8 pm, with family greeting from 6-7 pm Sun. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to Cloud County Foundation for Health Care Nursing Programs or the donors choice in care of the funeral home.
