Olin Reed Wood, a former resident of Chapman KS passed away at the St. Francis Select Specialty Hospital in Topeka, KS on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the age of 86. Olin was born August 2, 1926 at Osborne County, KS. His parents were Everett Miller and Myra Blanche Kirby Wood.
He attended school at the Osborne County schools. He worked construction and did carpentry work at various places in KS and he also was a truck driver delivering all types of boats to places in the United States.
He was married to Mary Lee Gaston in 1947, and the later divorced. He was married to Anna Marie Mock and she preceded him in death. Pollie Wiseman was his companion for 14 years, and she preceded him in death.
He had lived in Chapman, KS, rural Junction City, KS, and had been a resident at Village Manor in Abilene, KS since May 12, 2010.

He was preceded in death by one grandchild, his first wife, Mary Lee in Jan of 2008, second wife, Anna Marie in November of 1983, and his companion Pollie in October of 2008; three sisters: Carol Rogers, Evelyn Nesbitt, Pauline Foster; five brothers: Doyle Wood, Arvin Wood, Melvin Wood, Wayne Wood and twin brother Orin Wood.
Graveside services and burial will be held at the Downs Cemetery in Downs KS on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11;00 AM with Pastor Maureen Appenfeller officiating.
