Leonard H Eaton, 89, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 9:32 a.m., on Friday, December 28th, peacefully, at McPherson Hospital, McPherson, Kansas. Leonard was born in on his parents farm near Mason City , Nebraska on April 29, 1923, the son of Mabel Jeanette (Elwood) and Harve Irvin Eaton.
Leonard attended country schools in Custer County and Ansley High School, Ansley, Nebraska. Leonard was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church McPherson, Kansas. Leonard served in the U.S. Navy as a Motor Machinist Mate 3rd Class in WW II and was honorably discharged. Leonard worked as an Operator for the National Cooperative Refinery Association, McPherson for 42 years. Leonard was a member of the Elks Lodge #502 B.P.O.E., and the American Legion Post 24 both of McPherson, Kansas.
Leonard Harvey Eaton was united in marriage to Doris Elaine Yowell on July 23, 1943 at Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson, Kansas. Doris died on June 11, 2012.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Harve and Mabel Eaton; his wife Doris Yowell Eaton; 2 brothers, Leo and Harold Eaton; a half bother, Irvin Eaton and two half sisters, Goldie Real and Eva Eaton.
Friends are invited to call on Sunday December 30, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Glidden - Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas.
Funeral service will be held at Glidden - Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 31st, with The Reverend Tim Leaf officiating.
Final resting place will be at the McPherson Cemetery McPherson, Kansas with military honors presented by members of the American Legion Post 2715 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2715 both of McPherson.
