George Pelnar, 84, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 8th, while in the company of family members, at McPherson Hospital, McPherson, Kansas. George was born in Holcomb, Kansas on December 28, 1928, a son of the late Sarah Elizabeth (Craig) and John Evan Pelnar.
He was a member of St. Annes Episcopal Church McPherson.
George worked as a master electrician for Pyle Construction Company of McPherson, Kansas, and later for Union #661.
George was a member of the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Local #661 and member of the Civil Air Patrol.
George P. Pelnar was united in marriage to Rodena Mae Schultz on March 6, 1955 at Wichita, Kansas. Rodena died on November 21, 2002.

George was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Dena; brothers, John A. Jacob R. and Robert C. Pelnar; sisters, Myrtle Pelnar, Josephine Cunningham, and Marjorie Deaton.
Burial of the Dead and Holy Eucharist, Rite I will be held at St. Annes Episcopal Church, McPherson, Kansas, at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 13th, with Father Laird MacGregor officiating.
Final resting place will be at the McPherson Cemetery McPherson, Kansas.
