Dorothy F. Fisher, 85, formerly of Salina, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 at Homestead of Denison. She was born July 1, 1927 in Bennington, the daughter of Herbert and Opal Startzman. She married Louis G. Fisher on Dec. 23, 1943 in Salina. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Katherine Lindner and a grandson, James Modin.
Dorothy is survived by daughters-Sandi Barnett of Denison, TX, Nancy Modin (Jim) of Salina, and son, Brian of Denison, TX. She is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 13 with family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held Monday, January 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. Memorials may be made to Salina Emergency Aid Food Bank, 255 S Chicago, Salina, KS.
