George Schofield Parks, 89, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Presbyterian Manor in Salina. He was born May 31, 1923 in Council Bluffs, IA to Charles W. and Vera (Schofield) Parks.He was a graduate of the University of Iowa with a degree in Engineering. George retired after 24 years from Exline, Inc. George was a member of the American Legion, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Shrine and First Presbyterian Church, here in Salina.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Edward L. and Charles H. Parks.
Survivors include:
Wife: L. RaMona (Stamper) Parks, of the home
Son: James H. Parks
Two daughters: Denise K. Mai
Mary Louise Boxberger
8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren
Visitation will be at 1:00 -7:00 pm, Friday, February 1st, with the family receiving family and friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
Interment will be prior to the memorial service at Roselawn Memorial Park on February 2, 2013 at Roselawn Memorial park followed by his memorial service at 11:00 at the First Presbyterian Church, 308 S Eighth St., Salina.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Manor or Hospice of Salina in care of Roselawn Mortuary.
