Carl E. Cyr, 71, of McPherson, Kansas, entered eternal rest at 8:10 p.m., Tuesday, February 26th, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, Kansas. Carl was born in Como (Rural Clyde), Kansas on May 18, 1941, the son of Lena E. (Biery) and Clarence E. Cyr.

Carl attended the elementary schools near Como, Mulberry and Morganville, Kansas. He attended and graduated from Clay Center High School in 1959. He attended Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas.

Carl was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church McPherson, Kansas and was a former member of St. Marks Catholic Church, Marion, Kansas. He was baptized at St. Josephs Catholic Church, St. Joseph, Ks. on October 25, 1952.

Carl started working for his brother Everett as a Custom Harvester. He worked for several service stations in Topeka, Kansas prior to working for International Harvester as a Assistant Parts Manager. Carl was Transferred to Tekamah Nebraska store and was their Parts Manager. Carl moved to Marion and began working for Hesston Corporation in the Parts Department until it closed. Carl then worked for AGCO Corp., Hesston, Kansas and was in the Stock Room and Receiving and retired as the Inventory Systems Technician.

Carl is a 3rd Degree member of Knights of Columbus Council #5222, McPherson where he served as recorder; a 4th Degree member of Father David Cushing Assembly #2964 in Hutchinson serving as faithful navigator from July 2010 to June 2012, and was a member of St. Josephs Legion of Mary.

Carl E. Cyr was united in marriage to Anne L. Patry on August 5, 1967 at St. Patricks Catholic Church, Florence, Kansas. Anne died on June 22, 2003.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Anne; and brothers Everett and Clarence Laverne Cyr.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. with Rosary to follow at 4:15 p.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church, McPherson, Kansas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Josephs Catholic Church, McPherson, Kansas, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 4th, 2013 with Fr. Hien Nguyen officiating.

The final resting place will be in the McPherson Cemetery McPherson, Kansas.
