R. Floyd Woosley, 92, of Herington, died Monday, March 4th, 2013, at the Herington Municipal Hospital. He was born on August 1, 1920, at Herington, the son of Elmer L. and Cecelia C. (Metty) Woosley.
Mr. Woosley was a mechanic and a handyman. After high school, served a short stint in the U.S.Army, he also worked for Kramer Buick Garage, the City of Herington, then the Rock Island Railroad, and finally retired from construction in Council Grove. He graduated from Herington High School with the class of 1938.
He married Geneva M. Lampert on August 16, 1942; and she preceded in death on August 9, 2009.
He was also preceded in death by a son Richard W. Woosley, July 6, 2001; four (4) brothers (Bernard, Harold, Earl, & Walter); a sister Mildred Marr; and his parents.
He is survived by:

Cynthia Johnson (husband-Tom) of Winona, TX
Daughter in law: Jeanne Woosley of Marion
